Ask for reserve materials at the Circulation Desk.
Instructors may place materials assigned for particular classes "on reserve." Items on reserve have short checkout periods, so more students can use them. Most reserve items can be borrowed for 2 hours at a time. Other reserve items may be borrowed for 1 day, 2 days, or 7 days.
Items on reserve are checked out on a first come, first-served basis. Reserve items may be renewed once.
Most library checkouts can be renewed to give you more time. If no one else has requested them—
If a hold has been placed on an item, it cannot be renewed.
To request a renewal for Interlibrary Loan materials, stop by the Circulation Desk, call 952-358-8290, or e-mail martin.ouse@normandale.edu. Interlibrary loan renewals depend on the policies of the lending library, so renewal may not be possible.
The fee for most lost items is $35, but fees for some items may vary (such as reserves, interlibrary loans, periodicals, equipment, and audiovisual materials). You will receive overdue notifications via e-mail before being billed for replacement costs. Students with outstanding library fees have a hold placed on their college account, which prevents course registration and other college activity. Exact replacement copies may be accepted in place of payment. Ask a Circulation staff member for more information.
