Your Normandale ID Card is your official Normandale Community College identification card. This card is your ticket for accessing services at the variety of locations offered throughout campus. It shows your name, photo, Tech ID number and library bar code.
To get a student ID card you must be admitted and enrolled at Normandale. Bring the following items to ID Card Services, at the Kopp Central Desk in the Kopp Student Center:
You will use the card throughout your entire academic career at Normandale, so treat it well! Your first ID card will be issued for free. Replacement cards cost $10/card.

In addition to serving as proof of identification, your student ID card can be used in the following ways:
Lost or stolen cards must be reported immediately in person at ID Card Services in the Kopp Center or by calling 952-358-8120. Only the latest card printed is valid.
If you find someone else's ID card, please bring it to the Kopp Central Desk or mail it to the college:
Normandale Community College

The barcode on your ID card may be worn or damaged. Bring it to the Kopp Central Desk for a replacement. If the card is defective, it will be reissued for free. If the replacement is needed due to improper use or damage, a $10 replacement fee will be charged.
We suggest carrying your ID card in a protective holder or wallet. Do not punch holes in the card or affix stickers, pins or tape to it. If anything obscures your photo, the college logo or information printed on the card it may be considered invalid.
If your card needs to be replaced because of a name change, you can exchange it for free.
The Normandale Community College 'NCC Card' is the official identification card of Normandale Community College and must be carried by students at all times.
The mechanism for accessing the cardholder's account(s) or privileges shall be the Normandale student ID card. Presentation of the card may be required to access college services, library services, admission to events and building access. Access to college cardholder's account(s) may be denied if your account is suspended by the college for administrative reasons, you deactivate your card or if your card's magnetic stripe is damaged and will not scan.
The card is the property of Normandale Community College and is non-transferable. Only the cardholder may present the ID card privileges. NCC cards will be confiscated if presented by someone other than the cardholder or if the card is involved in inappropriate or illegal use. Fraudulent use of the card will result in disciplinary action.
Your ID card displays your eight-digit Tech ID number. It is the cardholder's responsibility to safeguard the confidentiality of the Tech ID number. If an assigned Tech ID has been compromised and used fraudulently, contact Normandale's ID Card Office immediately.
Information about the cardholder's account will be disclosed to third parties only for the following reasons:
The college shall email or deliver a written notice at least twenty-one (21) days before the effective date of any change in terms or conditions if the change would result in increased charges or increased liability for the account holder.
Prior notice need not be given where an immediate change in terms or conditions is necessary to maintain or restore the security of account. However, if a change is to be made permanent, the College will provide written notice of the change to the account holder within thirty (30) days, unless such disclosure would jeopardize the security of the system or account.
A separate type of ID card is issued to faculty and staff. While student cards are photo cards with a magnetic stripe, employee IDs also include a proximity card. This provides access to restricted classrooms and other secure areas.
Faculty/staff must be currently employed at Normandale to be issued or possess an employee ID. The cards are considered property of the State of Minnesota. Return them to the Public Safety department upon separation from the college.
