Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Suspension

WHY WERE YOU PLACED ON SUSPENSION?

You were placed on suspension because you failed to meet the minimum cumulative GPA and/or cumulative credit completion rate the term following your warning. Meaning you DO NOT have a 2.0 cumulative GPA or a cumulative 66.66% completion rate. Use the GPA and completion rate calculator to determine your status.

or

You did not meet the terms of your probation after your appeal was approved.

Now What?

You have the right to appeal your suspension. If your appeal is approved, you will be placed on probation and can continue to take classes and possibly receive financial aid.

You must complete this appeal form in its entirety and submit it by the Monday prior to the start of the semester for which you are applying in order for your appeal to be considered.

Note the following:

• Academic suspension - you must appeal or sit out for one year.
• Financial aid suspension - you must appeal or meet the minimum standards. Sitting out one year does not allow you to regain financial aid eligibility.
• If you received both an academic and a financial aid suspension, only one appeal is required.
• When you submit an appeal, a decision will be made within 7 business days.
• You will not be able to register for classes or receive financial aid while on suspension.
