AUDITING CLASSES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS

Auditing classes for senior citizens means you attend classes but don’t take tests, receive grades or earn college credit. Minnesota resident senior citizens who choose to audit a course are not charged tuition. However, you must pay course fees and costs for books and materials. Also, you must make the request to audit a course when you register.

You may enroll in credit courses for senior citizens on a space-available basis at a reduced tuition fee. You will be charged a $20 administrative fee per credit and student fees (except the Student Life fee) and any additional charges for textbooks and materials.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR COURSES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS

Whether you will be auditing classes or seeking credits, registration occurs on the first day of a class and on a space-available basis. You’ll need to provide proof of age and Minnesota residency to receive the senior citizen rate. A campus visit is not required. Find tips for first time registration here!

Senior citizens who want to register before the first day of the semester to guarantee their enrollment in a course must pay full tuition and fees. Apply for admission using the SENIOR promo code (no application fee is charged) or register as a visiting student.
