The Normandale Psychology Department is offering two $1000 scholarships to encourage students who have completed Introduction to Psychology, with a grade of at least a B, to take a 2000-level Psychology course at Normandale next academic year (Fall or Spring, not Summer). Dr. Myles E. Johnson taught undergraduate and graduate Psychology courses for over 45+ years at various colleges and universities, including Ball State University, Clark College, Sheridan College, and St. Mary's University of Minnesota. He taught at Normandale from 1973 to 2005. During this time, he published research and commentaries in a variety of scholarly and popular sources, on topics such as hypnosis, moral worry, religion, awe, and education. This scholarship is a testimony to his dedication to education, psychological science, and most of all, students.
The Psychology Scholarship for Students of Color is a $1000 scholarship intended to encourage students of color to further explore the field of Psychology and is intended to help address their underrepresentation in higher-level courses.
