Normandale offers dental care through our Dental Hygiene Clinic. Students provide the service under supervision by faculty members and staff dentists.
Our clinic sees patients of all ages. However, a parent or guardian must accompany patients under 18. Students, staff, faculty and the general public are all welcome to schedule appointments.
Call 952-358-8608 to schedule a visit. The average appointment time is 3.5 hours. More than one visit may be needed to complete the dental hygiene services.

The Normandale Community College Dental Hygiene Program and the Commission on Dental Accreditation seek third-party comments.
Normandale Community College Dental Hygiene Program is scheduled for a site visit by the Commission on Dental Accreditation September 17-18, 2024. Accrediting agencies provide an opportunity for third-party comment with respect to the program scheduled for review. All comments must relate to accreditation standards for the dental hygiene program and required accreditation polices.
Third-party comments relative to the Normandale Dental Hygiene Program may be submitted by interested parties such as faculty, students, program administrators, commission consultants, specialty and dental related organizations, patients and/or consumers. Comments must be received by the Commission office by July 19, 2024, sixty (60) days prior to the visit.
All comments submitted must pertain only to the standards relative to the Dental Hygiene Program or policies and procedures used in the accreditation process.

The Dental Hygiene Clinic offers the following services:

^ Services require recent x-rays, cleaning, and dentist approval, and no sign of active cavities or periodontal disease for whitening and sealants.
Current Normandale Community College students receive 50% off radiographs and cleanings. Other costs may apply.
The clinic does not accept dental insurance. Our faculty and staff cannot sign any documentation for dental claim submissions.

Normandale follows strict safety standards to maintain a safe environment for all patients, students, faculty and staff in our dental hygiene program.
Clinical and lab training in our program may expose students to diseases carried in saliva and blood. Our dental hygiene clinic and labs strictly follow local, state and federal infection control procedures to minimize and manage the risk of transmitting diseases such as the hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
Dental hygiene faculty monitor student compliance of these policies to ensure a safe environment for all patients, students, faculty and staff. Students must provide proof of compliance with Normandale Community College immunization requirements.
Normandale Policies and Procedures for bloodborne pathogens and infection control management are available to applicants and patients upon request.
Our clinic is located on the 2nd Floor of the Jodsaas Science Center. Enter the first-floor entrance through door 18. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor and follow the signs to the Dental Clinic.
