Success through Advising and Resources Program (STAR)

Are you receiving SNAP (food stamps) and pursuing an AS or AAS degree, or a certificate?

Check out the STAR Program which can provide you all kinds of services that will help you fulfill your college goals. Receive a $500 student support grant each semester, and with a dedicated counselor, explore:

  • Normandale grants and scholarships
  • Personalized career development and academic planning support
  • Taking free career assessments  
  • Basic needs support and other resources
  • Roadblocks to academic success
  • Developing achievable goals
  • Job-seeking strategies

Am I Eligible? 

 I am enrolled in Qualifying Degree Program 

  •  Students pursuing an Associate of Science (AS), Associate of Applied Science (AAS), Associate of Arts in Pre-Nursing or Pre-Dental, or most Certificates are eligible. Review degrees and certificates that qualify below.

I am enrolled in SNAP 

  • The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also sometimes referred to as food stamps or Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT), is a food assistance program to help you pay for groceries. Not receiving food stamps or EBT? Learn how to enroll in SNAP below.
